I pulled up at ruapehu ski hire and got all my gear sorted as quickly as I could as I was keen to get up the mountain. It had been far too long since I had been on the slopes and I was very excited to get up there although I have to admit that I was pretty nervous at the same time. The last time I was on skis ended up rather badly with me breaking a leg and basically ruining the week away for everyone as I had travelled in a friend’s car and he and the others had to take me home after the hospital visit.
