This post writes about the hazards of collecting – specifically, what happens when everybody knows you collect a certain thing. This woman’s thing was bears, so everybody bought her bears as gifts. (Toy bears and figures, not real bears.)

That’s not so bad – although unless you really love the thing you collect, it could get old after awhile. I think I’m going to start collecting gold. Maybe everybody I know will start to give me gold for my birthday. (Maybe about the size of a grain of sand, the cheapskates.) Or money. Maybe I’ll start collecting $20 bills. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
