I never really understood what the attraction was with braided rugs. I guess I had never really thought about it until recently when I visited a craft market. There was a lady there giving a demonstration on how she braided the rugs by hand. And there for sale, were some of the most vibrant looking rugs I’ve ever seen. I spent almost an hour at the stall admiring the rugs. And I must say now I truly understand what the fuss was all about. Braided rugs have their own personality. The colors used and the technique of braiding all added to its appeal. Needless to say, I went home that day with three rugs with me.
