I never thought that writing a best man toast speech can be easy. When my best friends and I talked about weddings and becoming each other’s best man, I always feel excited and yet a little bit dreadful. The anxiety, I think, comes from the feeling of talking in front of a large crowd. But when one of my best friends told me that I would deliver a best man speech on his wedding day, I realized that there’s really nothing to worry about. I realized that when you know the person, inside out, when you’ve shared wonderful friendship, writing your speech is not as hard as you’ve imagined. It’s all about saying what you feel and if you love the person, it won’t be a difficulty at all.
