I was always intimidated by the prospect of talking to someone about Auto Loans.  I was afraid it would be like it is when as a woman I talk to a mechanic and it’s assumed that as a female I can’t understand anything being discussed.  I decided rather than face this potentially humiliating experience, I would shop online first.  After initiating my application online, I found it necessary to call and make an appointment to go in.  I admit I can sometimes be a bit cynical, and this situation was no exception to that.  To my delight, I sat down across the desk from a woman and had a sensation of liberation.  As I was leaving I noticed a woman going over a contract with a male representative and was very pleased to hear that he was not condescending at all, but instead was very pleasant and respectful. 

I am trying to arrange for our relocation to Italy. However, I am not sure what I can do before we leave, and what will have to wait until after we have moved. Can we purchase a car here in the UK? I seem to recall having seen ads for left hand drive car dealers, but I am not sure how easy it is to find the left hand drive car dealers UK lots. Are there a lot of them, and are the prices reasonable compared to what I would pay once we were settled in Italy? I just hate to leave details for the last minute.

I come from a family of Ford users and will probably never drive anything else.  I have owned many vehicles, all of them Ford, and have never been disappointed.  One thing that I used to dread about buying a vehicle was the trips to the dealerships where salesmen swarmed in like vultures.  I know they have to make a living, but it really drove me crazy.  Recently, I decided to buy a Ford Mondeo for my wife and was mentally preparing myself for the required trip to a few dealerships.  My wife suggested that I look for the car online.  I was thrilled when I found exactly what I was looking for at a price that couldn’t be beat.

My new Jeep Cherokee is a godsend. We just got it two weeks ago in time for the massive snowstorm that hit last week. My husband did not hesitate to go out and get stuff we needed. He said the four wheel drive is powerful and he didn’t have any problems. We have always driven Jeeps but he said this is the best we’ve ever had. I’m glad to hear that as I wanted to go with a minivan. I was voted down by my husband and kids. My children think a Jeep is much cooler than a minivan. Now I agree.

On Tuesday I was at my Aunt Beth’s house in Harrisburg. She was having some problems with her clothes dryer and I was there to figure out what the problem was with it. The men I know compete over everything, so, when our friend George announced that he was going to build a water powered car, I was not surprised that my husband decided to try it.   The guys both found a website which detailed how easily anyone can buy a kit which can be installed on a car and would allow it to burn water as fuel.  I love the idea of clean fuel and saving money but am not so sure about the “water competition”.  Last night marked the fifth evening in a row my husband came straight home from work and went to the garage to work on his car.  After all, how else can be be the first one on the block with a vehicle that runs on water?
