Wedding photojournalist or ordinary joe?
December 29, 2009 3:32 am ArtsDoes your wedding photographer specialize only in weddings?  Why limit your photographs to someone who only shoots these types of events and doesn’t have a vast portfolio of other great images.  Hiring a talented wedding photojournalist may be the answer you’re looking for.  A photojournalist shoots weddings editorial style so a real one will have a background in news or documentary photography.  Be on the look out for ordinary photographers who claim to be a photojournalist because they tilt the camera in most of the photos or add a photoshop filter that add heavy contrast or blown out highlights.  These additions to the photos will surely be dated in a few years and your photos will lose their timeless feel.  A good photojournalist will create an image that doesn’t need special effects to make it interesting and it will remain timeless.
